The adventures of the 3 little bears

Once upon a time Papa Bear had surgery on his leg.  The evil doctor put him on bedrest.  Mama Bear and Baby Bear came to his rescue and they escaped!  Where to?  The local Publix!  Why?  Because it was practical and they had an electric scooter.  And food.  These bears love food.

Then they lived happily ever after.  The end!

Our necklaces have also gotten a spiffy upgrade as well.  We are now using sterling silver chains made in Italy.  *eeeee* I know right? Its ridiculous how excited I am.  More so ridiculous that I did the whole *eeeeee* thing out loud. 

Something new for this blog too: not only will I be sharing exciting news and updates on Avec Amour pieces but I'd like to invite you to share in little snippets of my life too. For a while I had a blog for that side (http://ninjadavis.blogspot.com/) but now all the good stuff will be in one spot.  Like a one stop shop. 

Between jewelry, family, work, and life there will be good days and bad days.  But c'est la vie right?

I'm sorry that I've been MIA.  However it is not without good reason.  :)  Continuing with the spotlight on love....I've been up to my ears in reception planning. 

Yep, Bill & I eloped last year in Destin, FL (talk about timing!) and decided to do the reception this year to celebrate our 1st year of being married and still head over heels in love. The actual ceremony was small and intimate.  From his side it was just his son, mother and stepfather.  From mine it was my nephew, mom and dad.  It was about us and the journey that we were committing to as one unit.  Now the reception is a little different (and decidedly more difficult and intricate to plan!).  This is to bring our friends and two families together from near and far to party it up with all!

So until after the reception (September) Avec Amour will be on hold and I will be overflowing with excitement and things to do for the reception.

Please forgive my absence but I have been running amok with work, family, and feeding my little baby of a business Avec Amour & man is it growing! I am so very excited and blessed and just plain happy.

My cup runneth over.

Here's the run down on what has kept me busy and away from the ol' blogspot:

- I've gotten the pleasure to work with the sweet Nomie at nomie.eco.ware to do a giveaway. (the first for both of us, how very cool is that?!) Up for grabs there is the popular Southern Sweetness "Mama Bear" necklace. Voting ends on Friday, April 30th. Go to her site to for details and to enter. 

- Avec Amour is getting ready for its very first booth! We are going to be at A Toast to Tennesse Wine Festival. {oh joy} We're going to hang out and drink wine, eat gourmet food, sell and show off our pieces. Its going to be so much fun, I'm getting butterflies just thinking about it! Speaking of butterflies...here's one of my recent creations:

- Costco and I had a little chat because they are raising money by silent auction for Monroe Carrell Jr. Children's Hospital and of course Avec Amour wants to do a little something something for such a great cause! in which I learn to love grease

Ah, the grease-laden anvil is one of the main instruments used in my work. So me being the girly girl I am decided that I did not want my anvil to be all grease smelly and slick and gross. I then proceeded to take nail polish remover to said anvil and clean it all up, nice and shiny! BAD MOVE. Apparently, the slick grease smelly yucky stuff keeps things from jumping.all.over.the.place! So now after another trip to the hardware store I now have a nice new slick, full of grease, fully functional anvil.

Let the stamping resume!
